6th Grade Science - Mrs. Snodgrass

This week the children don't have any homework!
All they have to do is read the library book to you and underline their vocabulary words they recognize in the book!
RE: To Volcano,
I handed out a worksheet on only "one" of the ways you can make your volcano.
You can make it any way you want. That was one I found in the "Earthdance" book.
The volcano's are not due until Oct. 22nd.
Do not bring them in before Oct. 22nd.
Right now in class we are still working on Earthquakes and mountain formations.
Neat link on Earthquakes: Click

On Oct. 15th we will start on Volcano's!
Below is a neat links on Volcano's. The  first one is from "How Stuff Works" how a volcano erupts. The next link is from AOL that has pictures of Mt. St. Helen's getting ready to erupt.

Recorder Class - Mrs. Snodgrass

Class really focus on these particular songs after practicing your exercises on pages 4-7
"Merrily we roll along" pg. 4
Au Claire, DE La Lune
Hot Cross Buns, both on pg. 5
Jingle Bells pg. 6
All songs on pg. 7
All songs on Pg. 9

Practice only the first Section of "Joy to the World"
That would be only the first line up to the last note G. Leave that last note out for now.
So you will only practice the notes that go with the words,
Joy to the world! the Lord is come,

Remember, there will be a quiz this Friday, reviewing everything we have learned up to page 8.
Have a great week in the Lord,
Lori Snodgrass
